SPOT2 Float Case Floatation Case with Belt Clip for Spot2 Personal GPS Locator

Spot Floatation Case is an option which should really be considered if you are planning to be on/or near the water. The satellite antenna for Spot is the face plate of the device and if pointed upside down either on dry land or in the water it will fail to transmit. While Spot-2 does come with its own case, this case is not Buoyant and yes it will sink. And yes Spot2 is waterproof but only to a point. Spot-2 is waterproof to a depth of 1-meter for 30 minutes so at least you can grab from the water but it will not transmit while submerged! With the floatation case you can push "911" and toss it in the water and it will right itself and transmit properly.

Not Compatible with the Spot-1.
