Durham Radio has a wide selection of base mobile and portable scanning receivers from Alinco, Icom, Uniden (Bearcat) AOR, and winradio products for your scanning enjoyment. These are often referred to as "Police Scanners".

Scanning in general has become much more complicated in the last few years. Larger systems as used in big cities tend to use the most up-to date trunking systems including some systems which cannot be monitored by a scanner.
