PALSTAR AT10K 10KW PEP Antenna Tuner

The American made AT10K is a one-of-a-kind, unique high-power tuner built for regional Shortwave Broadcasters worldwide.

The typical unbalanced antenna tuner with a 4:1 balun at the output exposes the balun to a wide variety of impedance and reactance that it was never designed to handle. By placing the balun at the input side of the matching network, the balun always sees a 50 Ohm load, thereby ensuring that it always operates at maximum efficiency with minimum losses and heating.

IThe AT10K features a power rating of 5000 Watts single tone continuous (10KW PEP) performance with low losses & wide Z range. Frequency coverage is 1.8MHz to 29.5MHz. The AT10K can feed coax or balanced line feeders.

Inside the AT10K you'll find two 500pF vacuum variable capacitors, rated at 15 KV, and a 10 Amp 6 KV ceramic body inductor wound with #10 ga plated copper wire with silver plated wheel shaft and contact wheel (30uH).

Metering for the AT10K is provided by an outboard special version of our PM5K Digital Wattmeter. This special 10 KW version (Model PM10K) is only available with the AT10K.
