Simple design, incomparable sound

A classic design and attractive wood cabinet, make the Model One easy to use and easy on the eyes. The FM tuner features GaAs MES-FET mixers which substantially improve reception and increase clarity on closely-spaced local and far-away stations. A precise analog tuning system with a geared-down tuning dial for accurate, easy selection of the maximum number of stations. A yellow LED glows brightest when the station is tuned properly.

The Model One features a multi-stage frequency-contouring circuit that precisely adjusts the speaker's output over half-octave increments. The result is musically accurate tonal balance and bass response unprecedented for a radio of its size. The Model One can fill even large rooms. Its natural balance and wide range enhance every kind of music. Inventive versatility Built-in AM and FM antennas. Type F jack on the rear can be used to connect to a cable system or external antenna for improved FM. The compact size coupled with a 12-volt jack on the back make it possible to play the radio in a vehicle, camper or on a boat. Analog tuning system allows the radio to be used in countries with different channel spacing.

Technically speaking

A heavy-magnet, long-throw, three-inch speaker driver with inherently smooth, wide range response is the starting point for the Model One's exceptional sound quality. Small enough to provide extended treble response yet able to move sufficient air for bass "heft," its acoustic output is further enhanced by a ported enclosure design.
