AM/FM with Simple, Pure Performance:

Everyone appreciates simplicity with high performance. That's exactly what you'll find when you listen to your favorite AM and FM radio stations using the CCRadio-EP. There is no clock to set, no station presets to program. All you have to do is push the red power button and turn the dial. There is a separate button for the dial light.

The CCRadio-EP will have similar performance characteristics as the CCRadio-2. For very weak stations, AM reception can be fine tuned with a manual adjustment of our built-in "Twin-Coil Ferrite® Antenna." No adjustment is needed to bring in most stations clearly. You may find that some versions of C Cranes printed catalog states the EP will be a double conversion radio. That was based on preliminary info and the final version has improved selectivity while keeping with a single conversion design.

The AM fine tuning consists of extra circuitry and 2 extra coils around the ferrite antenna. It should be called the Quad Coil™. It is a new experimental design. You do not have to adjust the TCF knob from the default position to receive excellent AM performance. The TCF knob does have some effect for fine tuning and it will have various and perhaps curious results depending on the strength of the AM signal and the time of day. You should find the EP is one of the best radios you have used on AM.
