The new CCRadio-2 has the same familiar look and layout as previous models of the CCRadio but with even better AM Reception and the addition of the 2-Meter Ham Band. The boost in AM performance comes from our patented Twin-Coil Ferrite(r) AM Antenna, and other improvements built into the CCRadio-2. AM stations continue to sound just right, thanks to audio that's optimized for voice clarity. After you select a station, the CCRadio-2 evaluates the signal for several seconds and then locks in for the highest signal possible.

The CCRadio-2 comes in original Black Mica or a new Titanium color. It features a brighter, clearer LCD display with a full backlight and three levels of adjustable brightness plus an "off " setting. Five years ago C-Crane made changes to the durability of our CCRadio LCD display that have proven to be robust. Other features include: 5 memories per band (AM, FM, Weather and 2-Meter bands), adjustable display light, adjustable bass and treble, clock alarm, sleep timer, auto scan, stereo headphone jack, line-input jack, and line-output jack.

This digital radio tunes AM from 520 to 1710 kHz, FM from 87.5 to 108 MHz, NOAA weather from 162.400 to 162.550 MHz and even the 2 Meter Amateur Radio band (144-148 MHz)! The 2-Meter Ham band may make the CCRadio-2 a life saver during an emergency like hurricane Katrina. 2-Meter Ham operators are early on the scene and they donate their time while handling perhaps 90% of the emergency coordination efforts. The CCRadio-2 can act like a simple radio scanner and search the five memories for ham operator communications. Separate Bass and Treble combined with the 5 inch speaker provide excellent fidelity. Fine tuning on the AM band is to 1 kHz. Operation of the radio is as simple as possible. Five stations can be stored into memory on each band. The CC Radio also has a clock alarm feature with sleep function.

With the built-in weather band you can listen to the NOAA weather station for current local conditions. A special Weather Alert feature sounds an alarm to notify you of weather emergency updates. This feature even works while you are listening to AM or FM. This alarm will even sound at night and wake you up if there is an alert. In fact there are 3 weather alert functions that you can select (flashing light & no alarm, or NOAA audio or flashing light & siren). This radio operates with the supplied AC cord or may be operated for up to 250 hours on four D cells (not supplied). There is a carry handle lip built into the rear panel. All of the radios functions are available via logically positioned controls and buttons. The LCD is gently backlit at all times when the radio is plugged into AC. When on batteries you may momentarily illuminate the LCD with the touch of a button.
