To the HF user who is using RG8X, Mini 8, or RG59, this is just the ticket, these snap-on ferrites are # 73 ferrite material. The perfect fit for RG8X (Mini 8), RG59, RG6, also fit RG58. Use it to install on cables that are already in use. The Snap-On feature of these ferrites make for a simple installation on coax to form a choke-BALUN.

One of these FB73SO is the equivalent of three (3) slip-on ferrite doughnuts (cores), by using ten (10) FB73SO, you can make an inline choke BALUN or line isolator without cutting the cable or removing the coax connector(s). See installation procedure below; Once the ty-wrap is set, the ferrite will not move without first cutting the ty-wrap. These snap-on ferrites make great sleeve and choke BALUNs to prevent RF traveling on the shield of the coax cable. Use 10 FB73SO to form a 1:1 BALUN at the feed-point of a dipole.

In addition, these snap-on ferrites are effective reducing or eliminating TVI & RFI, when placed around RG-59, RG6, and other cable TV interface cables. Especially when used on the cables between components in a Home Theater installation.

For cables up to 7mm (0.27") diameter. Snap-on case for easy installation. Case has an eyelet on one end which can be used with a tye-wrap for added fastening security. Provides excellent absorption of high-frequency noise. No. 73 ferrite material.
